  30. well, all those win managers can handle virtualscreen at multiple
  31. size of the 1280x1024 screen. I run 3x2 is 6 times more.
  32. no way for hw scroll (but possible on my A1200 if I use
  33. clolorless 4 color display).

  43. if edges update, it's blitter virtual screen. As unix apps often
  44. are in the state "locked by something" on our hps :->
  45. the new parts of the windows are blank and not updated.
  46. [On kickstart you won't see such "blank & nothing happens" windows.
  47. ok, on slow cpus you sometimes meet the "zzzz" mousepointer ;) ]

  52. while draging is maybe really comfort you don't need,
  53. the possibility to run large screens for the shells (all I 
  54. personally need lagre screens for is holding 10 shells :)
  55. newsreaders / piccviewers can be run on separate screens.
  56. afaik X even supports different depth screens, my friends
  57. linux is configured to several 8/16 bit screens).
  58. so needing less then 8bit/pixel would be even usefull on the 
  59. machines running X.
  60. (X does know the type "planar". It's the gfx-cards that can't display).
